The Manufacturing Section is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and shipping equipment. We will share information with departments such as Purchasing Section, Production Control Section, Design Section, and Control Section to perform detailed process control and strive to respond to short delivery times and prevent delivery delays. At the time of shipment, we will pick up the vehicle type that meets the customer's delivery date and the conditions for transporting the product, and perform the procedures for dispatching the vehicle. We pay close attention to confirm that there are no scratches or stains on the product, and we try to send it out to our customers with the utmost care.
Until now, I was mainly involved in process management and vehicle dispatch work, but as the section manager, I am now in a position to focus on the management of the section. The manufacturing section has good teamwork and members who are positive about their work. Even if an urgent business comes in, it is reliable because it is mobile and responds quickly and pleasantly. We are working to create an organization that allows employees to continue to work with high motivation by meeting with each and every employee and summarizing their opinions.

Create an organization that is open both vertically and horizontally

Communication is the most important thing in my work. I always look around and say hello, and when someone does something for me, I always say thank you at the end. Of course, I express my gratitude, but if I am told that, it will encourage me and I will be able to work comfortably. Not only within the department, but also with other departments in the same way, I am acting with the desire to actively build open relationships both vertically and horizontally. Perhaps because of the accumulation of these efforts, other departments have come to say, "It's easy to consult with the manufacturing section, and the work is easy." If we can communicate properly, I think it will lead to the creation of a strong organization where we can cooperate on a regular basis and help each other when we are in trouble. It's good to work hard, but I believe that a good work-life balance leads to increased motivation at work. When I'm working, I concentrate on my work, and when I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoying my hobbies, baseball and running. I would like the members of the manufacturing section to switch between on and off and enjoy both work and private life.

My "solution" episode

We don't have direct contact with customers, we're not in the sales department, so we can't contribute to sales, etc. There's nothing like that. There are things that only the manufacturing section can do to improve productivity and efficiency. For example, if there is a delivery to two locations, we usually arrange two trucks for each delivery destination. If the address of the delivery destination is close, if the direction is the same, or if there is no installation work and there is no specified delivery time, please consult with the sales department and confirm the arrival time with the customer. I arranged for the property to be loaded and sent together. At first glance, it may seem like a small thing, but when you keep doing these things and count them over the course of the year, you'll be able to make a big contribution to the company. I think that it is necessary for any department and any job to think that even a single task will lead to a solution of some kind of problem.

The reason why I chose Kawata

Originally, I worked for a partner company of Kawata, and was in charge of manufacturing drying hoppers and raw material tanks. When the size of the company was to be reduced, Kawata's manufacturing manager at the time called out to me and decided to join Kawata. What I felt after joining the company is that Kawata is a company that will appreciate your efforts as much as you do your best. There were many good people around me, and I thought it was a comfortable place to work. Also, at my previous job, it was difficult to take paid leave because it had become a mere formality, but at Kawata, I can take it without worrying about it, and I can work with peace of mind. I feel that Kawata has an environment where I can work for a long time.

What I want to challenge from now on

As a member of the manufacturing section, I would like to aim to improve the knowledge and skills of the section members and create an organization where there is no bias in skill. Specifically, we start by creating a work skill map and visualizing the competence of the section staff to see what work they can do and to what extent. I would like to clarify each person's issues and develop self-education skills so that everyone can do the same work. Some work is still dependent on the individual, and work may stop when a specific person takes a break, so it is important for everyone to be able to work evenly.
After all, I want to create a workplace that is easier to work with stronger connections. I can't do big things, but what I can do is communication. I would like to work on what I can do with the feeling that it will spread throughout the company.
