Made of Kawata
Customer's happiness becomes my own happiness

The plastic products that we saw and used every day. Before joining the company, I used it without worrying about anything, but after joining the company, I started to worry about it on a daily basis. There are actually many products that Kawata is involved in producing around us, so being involved in the manufacturing of such familiar products is one of the fun things about my job. There are many opportunities to go to the customer's factory, and it is a real pleasure to be able to see how the products are made. Our sales staff visits customers to introduce and propose equipment, prepare quotations, arrange equipment after receiving orders, and witness whether delivery has been completed without problems. We also visit molding machine manufacturers and trading companies to exchange information. Proposals made during equipment introductions and meetings lead to orders, and when the equipment is delivered, the customer's happy face and the voice of "thank you" make me very happy, and I find it rewarding and joyful. Basically, we are route sales, but sometimes we receive inquiries and make new transactions. I would be happy if you could explain Kawata's equipment from scratch and purchase it. If you continue to talk to us from there, we will be even more grateful and encouraged.

Time to learn a lot more.
Learning and communication are essential

One of my challenges is to accurately understand what the customer is thinking at the time of the meeting, and to properly communicate that content within the company. Also, when it comes to specialized knowledge such as electrical control, there are many things I don't understand, and it takes time to understand. If I don't understand something, I research it myself, ask questions to people in the design department, and ask customers directly to learn. Acquiring knowledge is not easy, but it is fun. I think positively that now is the time to learn, and I would like to steadily acquire knowledge at this time, output it in various projects, and let it soak into my body. Due to the corona crisis, I have been wearing a mask since I joined the company. I want to actively communicate with customers so that they will remember my face, but each customer has a different way of thinking, so I try to match the timing and content of visits to each customer. In terms of communication with other departments within the company, I am most often involved with the service department. The service department often goes out to the field and interacts with customers as the face of Kawata, just like the sales department. In Osaka, the departments are next to each other and are physically close to each other, so we work closely together.

My "solution" episode

I was not able to complete the project by myself, but I took over from my predecessor and worked together with my boss. When in doubt, don't keep it to yourself. Taking advantage of my past experience, I was able to lead to an order for more than half a year. It was a large project to deliver 20 units each to two factories, and although there were some difficulties in handing over the work, I was relieved that we were able to complete the delivery without incident. Actually, the product is something I have been using for many years since I was in elementary school. It left an impression on me, as if I had been able to convey my gratitude to them for continuing to take care of me.

The reason why I chose Kawata

When I was in college, when I had to start looking for a job, I didn't know what industry I wanted to enter or what I wanted to do specifically. When I casually visited the university's employment department, a staff member told me that a company called Kawata had a job offer. When I went to a company information session, the atmosphere in the company was so good that I wanted to work here. Looking back on it now, it was miraculous that I met Kawata, and I feel a sense of luck and destiny. Even after joining the company, there is no gap from the impression I felt at first, and the environment is easy to work because of good human relations and Welfare.

What I want to challenge from now on

I would like to acquire new knowledge while making use of my experience so far, and continue to make good proposals and quick responses to customers to increase the number of orders. I'm not strictly told about my quota, but it's still a goal I want to achieve. I have heard several stories from customers who are building new factories, so I would like to make a solid proposal and do my best to ensure that we receive orders. Also, until now, I was the newest employee in the Osaka Sales Section, but we are planning to recruit mid-career hires and new employees. If the situation changes, my feelings may change, but I want to grow step by step without changing my attitude of carefully working on each task in front of me.
