Sense of accomplishment gained by memorizing

My main work is on-site work such as new installation, inspection, repair, and modification of equipment, and in-house estimate creation. We will visit customers around the Kinki area, Mie Prefecture in the east, and Shikoku and Okayama Prefectures in the west. At the beginning, it started from working with veteran seniors and learning. It was hard for me to learn how to operate and how to operate the machines, because they were all machines that I had never seen or touched unless I entered the plastics industry. There are various types of equipment, and the parts to be repaired are also different. I tried to learn by moving my hands while being taught by seniors and bosses. If you can remember it, you will feel more comfortable on site. The work progressed smoothly, so I began to feel a sense of accomplishment. At the end of the work, bundle the wires and hoses of the equipment as much as possible and keep them neat and tidy so that they look good. The most important thing I learned from my seniors was safety considerations, but even if the installation and repairs were completed without incident, I couldn't accept the fact that the wiring was hanging loosely. It's my commitment to finish the work with a refreshing feeling.

仕事で特に気をつけているのは、お客様にも社内にもこまめに連絡することです。お客様に訪問する時は必ず前日に電話して、当日の訪問時間などを再確認するようにしています。社内への報連相は、部内の作業状況を共有する時に重要です。作業が完了したタイミングで別件があればその足で現場に向かって対応するなど、お客様にタイムリーかつ効率的なサービスを提供するために連携を取り合っています。他部署との繋がりも密接です。営業部とはお客様のもとに一緒に行くことが多く直接お客様と関わるポジション同士なので、常に情報共有しています。点検や修理の内容によって、設計部や制御部とも連携します。サービス部内はフレンドリーな方が多いです。仕事の時は集中し休憩の時は笑い話で盛り上がるなど、オンオフの切り替えがしっかりできる環境です。

My "solution" episode

For installation and repair work, we make sure to prepare tools suitable for the machine in advance. For example, the inside of Dryer is complicated with hoses, so only small tools can fit into it, and Heating Medium Circulation Temperature Controller don't work efficiently without specific tools. To some extent, you can get by with a set of tools that you always have, but by using tools that are suited to the characteristics of the machine, you can significantly shorten the work time. It goes without saying that work requires the ability to make flexible decisions and respond to situations on-site, but it is also important to prepare yourself before going on-site. Even if a convenient tool is said to be easy to use in any situation, it may be difficult to do something when you actually use it, so choose the best tool by trial and error or by asking your seniors. I'm careful.

The reason why I chose Kawata

It all started when I received a job offer at the technical high school I attended. I was hesitant to choose another electrical company that my parents recommended, but I joined Kawata because I felt that it had a solid Welfare and a comfortable working environment. When I actually joined the company, everyone in the workplace was really nice, and I was able to enjoy my work very much. I feel like it suits me, so I'm really glad I chose Kawata.

What I want to challenge from now on

Currently, I am mainly working on standard machines, so in the future I would like to try working with large equipment and mixers, and increase the number of things I can do. Kawata has many machines that have been in active use since before I was born. Customers often say "Kawata's machines are amazing", which is one of Kawata's strengths. This kind of machine is difficult because there is little information, so it is mainly handled by veteran seniors, but I want to be able to do it and help seniors. Up until now, I was the newest employee in Osaka Technical Service Department Department, but a new employee who was close to my age was hired mid-career. I want to accumulate skills and experience so as not to lose to those people. Working on site is fun and I feel that it is my vocation. I would like to continue to pursue the path of a serviceman.
